Case Study
Travel Souvenirs
Printed Travel Souvenirs of places of interest in my home town
Print Project
Travel Souvenirs
Objective
The objective of this project was to design a series of printed souvenirs using various printing techniques that communicates the experience of my home town. The souvenirs anticipate what might be of interest to others and the sites and attractions they could visit in the area.
Problem
This is a print project, therefore how the product will be printed – the paper, type of printing, finishing – have to be be taken into consideration. The travel souvenirs include an example of overprinting, use of line weights, tints and scaling and a limited colour palette.
Solution
The concept for the design of the travel souvenirs is vintage travel.
The project shows the unique architecture and engineering we have in my home town and includes flat vectors of local buildings of interest in each souvenir.
The travel souvenirs have been designed to show the technique of overprinting and are designed as a square printed brochure, an A5 Risograph printed brochure, special keepsake map and a Letterpress postcard.
